Quilts, quilts & more quilts

It has been a very busy week here. I'm not sure what I'd do if it wasn't! This week's quilt is from Fabrics Plus in Anacortes for the upcoming Tri-County Shop Hop March 25-28. Read about it here. I tried to find the official site and ended up with a "bug" on my computer. Will spare you the details. Let's just say it wasn't fun and cost me $$$. Sorry,I got distracted! So for the Shop Hop , each participating shop designs a block & sends a pattern to all the other stores. Then each store chooses their own fabrics, setting & makes the quilt. This quilt is a Moda Christmas line that doesn't look Christmas unless you are really close.

I am for sure heading to webshots right now to upload some more pictures.

I'll be back soon.....................Sharon

Quilt of the Week

This is one of the Thimbleberry panels. Jonne made it for her sister. I have quilted a few of these & they are really fun. Love the colors in this one. Thinking I might need to get one to add to my "Chicken" quilt collection.

It's been busy here as usual. I keep saying I want off the roller coaster & on the merry-go-round, but the ride operator isn't listening!
Hoping to get a minute later tonight to do another post & update my webshots. Better get going for now, delivery day for 2 more quilts.
Enjoying the sunshine, hope you are too........................Sharon

Feast of Famine

I'm getting more quilts lately, here is another quilt I finished earlier this week. It is one of Roxanne Carter's new patterns, Heavenly Stars. I like the smaller stars in the first border. Roxanne is a more traditional quilter & is the guru quilter in our area for making piecing easier. This quilt will be one of her upcoming Girl's Night Out/Day Out patterns. If you haven't taken one of her classes, you are missing out on F-U-N! She'll also be at the QA Quilt Show in March with her patterns & doing demos. Stop by and say "Hi".

Check out my webshots, I posted new pics this morning.

Happy Thursday..............................Sharon

Quilt of the Week

This week's quilt is Aunt Mary's version of "Over the river and through the woods" by Crabapple Hill. Carrol loves color & is not your traditional quilter! No feathers for her! The warm browns & golds give this quilt a special touch. I did my "swirly-girly" thing behind the center embroidery & put swirls in the flying geese. I'll work on getting more pictures on webshots later.
Carrol will have fabric packets available at the shop &
at the QA quilt show next month. It's a great quilt show
& there are always lots of vendors! Mark your calendars for March 20,21&22..
Maybe I'll see you there!.....................Sharon
