Sneak Peek

The CIQ Quilt Show is days away. Will I see you there?

Here's a peek at 3 of my entries. The 4th is on the quilting machine.

Judy Neimeyer table runner class through CIQ. Fun & outside of my regular quilting box.

My window pane quilt. Reynola Pakusich class through CIQ.

This quilt top has been "aging" like fine wine in my "to be quilted" pile.
Happy to finally have it done.

The back of my window pane quilt. I love how the back looks on multi color thread quilts.

Do you hear that? It's not crickets. Quilts are calling & dinner is almost done.

I hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend.

Be back soon.

Jewel Star

This is Wilma's quilt. Loved all the colors in this one. She wasn't sure if or who she would be giving it to so I tried to keep the quilting neutral. You can see it up close & personal at the CIQ Quilt Show.

It was fun mixing hard & soft, straight lines with curves. The border was Sue Patten inspired.
What inspires you?

Don't forget about the CIQ Quilt Show coming up April 5ht & 6th.

I don't know about you but I am ready for some warm weather. Enough of the white stuff.

One of my quilts is calling today. Better get cracking.
Be back soon!

The Happiest Place On Earth

Not many words to say. It's been fun. Nice weather. Nana even got a little sunburn, oops! And if you want to know anything, just ask Andrew.

These were all taken in Golden Gate Park at the Conservancy of Flowers
Check it out when you are in SF.

Back to reality today. Home to quilt.

Quilt Catch Up

Here is a look at what I've been up to lately. First up is Gerry's quilt.  The piano key border hangs over the side of bed & touches the floor. She didn't want anything too fancy since her husband will be using it too. Leaves always look good.

This is a graduation gift for a boy. Sally used blue flannel & black & white fat quarters for this one.

Wilma took the window class with Reynola Pakusich that I took in February. Here's a sneak peek at what she did. If you want to see more you'll have to come to the CIQ Quilt Show April 5th & 6th.

I tried some new things & am happy with how it came out.
Ronnie made this great bargello quilt for her Mom. They went on a road trip to Montana after her Dad passed away & collected fabric for this quilt along the way.

Yes, this picture is blurry. Because these 2 are constantly on the move. But oh so fun. I'll have more on them soon. Nanaland is the best!

Modern Quilt Patterns

McCall's Patchwork & Quilting has something for you.
A FREE e-book with 3 very nice modern quilts. The instructions are great. Great pictures with step by step directions to get you a Spring quilt in a hurry.

They all remind me of Spring. We are all hoping for Spring soon, right?

The first one is made with some  pretty pastels.

The second uses 5" squares. I have a nice collection of polka dots thanks to a CIQ guild exchange. Maybe paired up with a Kona solid.

The third one is quilt as you go using random width strips! How perfect is that?

Just go here to get your own copy & get some Spring quilting started.

Happy Quilting!

I'll be back soon with more customer quilt pictures & I'm taking a Lone Star class tomorrow from my favorite "wild woman" quilting friend, Judy Irish.

p.s. On the countdown to Nanaland. The biggest Little Mister is on a roll. "Nana, how am I going to get to the airport so I can fly by myself to come see you?" Thinking I better go see him before our family ends up on the national news.

Janice's Mystery

Janice made this batik quilt in a Mystery Class at The Granary. I love the colors. She didn't want heavy quilting, so this is what I came up with.

Love when the sunshine's & I can get a good picture of the back.

I have another king size quilt dine & will post pictures as soon as the customer picks it up.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine. I think I'll go to the beach tonight.

Better go. More quilts calling.
