Winner, Winner!

You know how much I love a good Blog Hop. Recently Moda had a great little hop with all of their fabric designers. Guess who got lucky? ME! I got a jelly roll of Kathy Schmitz' new fabric line, Piecemakers. It won't be available at shops until January.

Each designer had a quilt block in different sizes for all the hoppers. It was fun.

In other news... this is what a finger looks like after the cat bites you. Sigh. He didn't want to get in the crate to go to vet. Hmmmm, I think Mr S will be handling this from now on.

It is very busy here. Quilting machine is smoking & I started Little Mister's Lone Ranger costume/b-day present last night.

5 more days until I'm in the happiest place on earth, Nanaland.

Lots of quilt pictures to show you soon too.

Have a great weekend. Hero Quilts at Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop tomorrow 10:30-3.

Row Robin Halloween

Wilma made this cute Halloween quilt as part of a Row Robin group with CIQ. She has been a member of the Row Robin group for awhile & likes it a lot. It was very fun to quilt this one.

I put pumpkins in the border.

Did an Angela Walters fill.

A Halloween quilt is not complete without spider webs.

Some days I feel like this!

Love how the quilting looks from the back.

No, it's not your eyes. This is a little blurry.

Another busy week ahead for me. A couple special quilts. One with pictures & one made with
t-shirts(mailing this one to college). I'll have to wait to show you one of them since it's a surprise.

Exciting news too. A customer quilt was accepted into PIQF.  I'll do a post soon about that one.

Joanna, my daughter & mother of the little misters, has 4 quilts that will be at "Quilting in the Garden" in Livermore CA at Alden Lane Nursery.  I'll have lots of pictures of that quilt show since it will be during my visit.

10 days & counting.
Quilting like crazy,

Tri-County Shop Hop 2010 Revisited

Back in 2010 I quilted the shop sample of this quilt. It was Fabrics Plus' shop hop quilt that year. Ginny saw the quilt and had to make it. She lives in Sheradin WY & has a sailboat in Anacortes. She got my name from the shop & asked me to quilt it for her this summer.

Lots of places for different types of quilting.

Kelpy seaweed & water

More seaweed

Swirly girly in the corner blocks

It was as much fun to quilt this the 2nd time around as it was the 1st.
Lots of quilting going on here. Counting the days until I'm in Nanaland.
Someone started Kindergarten & has a Birthday coming up. He thinks only Nana can make
 Birthday cakes.
This is a picture of his 1st day.

The quilts are calling. Be back soon.

Quilt Catch Up

I've not been very good at keeping up with the blogging lately. This first quilt is a batik beauty from Barbara. The light blue are all flaps. I did a ferny vine with King Tut Bulrushes thread.

This one is Darlene's. She wanted flowery/leafy quilting but not too dense.

These are Blackberry Pie Bars. They had yummy berries at the Farmer's Market on Friday. You can find the recipe here. I halved the recipe. And yes, they are delicious!

Better get back to quilting. It's going to be a "2 a day so Nana can go play" kind of month. Little Mister turns 5 at the end of the month.

Be back soon.
